Jason Willetts, who is with the the NY Alerts department of the NYS Office of Information Technology Services, presented to the RACOG board on November 21st, 2017. He demonstrated how local governments could utilize the NY Alerts system to help keep the public informed, especially in emergency situations. All five member communities have decided to enroll in NY Alerts. There is no cost to the communities for this service.
