The NYS Route 3 Corridor Sewer/Development Board met in regular session on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the V/Black River Municipal Building. S. Allen called the meeting to order at 4:33pm.
The Board reviewed the minutes for April 10, 2017. Motion by B. Ferguson, seconded by L. Carpenter to approve the minutes as presented. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.
P. Pastella reviewed the period summary for April, 2017. The sewer flow was 9.9 MG, a significant increase over the previous month. Members discussed sources for inflow and infiltration that may have influenced the flow. B. Ferguson questioned the impact that such increases may have on the collection and treatment budget line. P. Pastella reported that increases in the flow during the spring are expected and considered during budget development. Fifty-six percent (56%) of the total budgeted revenues were received. Expenses year-to-date were thirty-eight percent (38%) of the total budgeted. Net cash of $210,641.21 remained at the end of the period. The reserve account had a balance of $130,434.21.
P. Pastella reviewed the period summary for May, 2017. The sewer flow was 8.3 MG. Sixty-one percent (61%) of the total budgeted revenues were received. Expenses year-to-date were forty-one percent (41%) of the total budgeted. Net cash of $234,939.39 remained at the end of the period. The reserve account had a balance of $130,473.52.
L. Carpenter discussed the Villages conversion to LED interior and exterior lighting and the availability of programs to share the cost of the conversion. L. Carpenter wondered if it would be advantageous to consider converting the lighting at the system pump houses.
L. Carpenter also questioned maintenance at the pump houses. P. Pastella responded that there had been a delay in receiving parts for a mower resulting in a delay in cutting the grass. The mower has been repaired and maintenance is back on schedule.
Motion by B. Ferguson, seconded by L. Carpenter to adjourn. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:12PM.
The next scheduled meeting of the NYS Route 3 Sewer/Development Board will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 4:30pm at the T/Champion Municipal Building.
