DOG LICENSES: Information on licensing your dog
is available from the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets. The fee for
licensing is:
$7.50 Spayed or neutered dog
$15.50 Un-spayed or un-neutered dog
Cats do not require licenses.
SPORTING LICENSES: Sport licenses for the 2006 hunting season are on sale now. The licenses are computer generated, 2" x 3-3/8" and printed on green, plastic Valeron stock. The DECALS system eliminates the need for license applications, stamps, and card stock carcass tag sets. Resident applicants need to bring their NYS drivers license. First time applicants must provide proof of hunting, bow hunting, and/or trapping eligibility. Acceptable proof may be either a hunting or bow education certificate or a previous NYS license. Military personnel must present their work orders to be eligible for a NYS resident license.
ELECTION DISTRICTS: The Town has three (3) election districts. District 1 covers
the southern and central part of the Town. this district votes at the Municipal
Building. District 2 covers the northern part of the Town. District 3 cover
the Village of Black River south of the Black River. Boeth of these districts
vote at the town building located on NYS Route 3 between Black River and Felts
Mills.
