The Champion Town Board met in regular monthly session on Monday, August 6, 2001 at 7:00PM. Present were Supervisor Buckley, Councilmen Watkins, Stewart, and Buzzell(7:04PM), Attorney Farley, and Highway Superintendent Martin.

Councilman Miller was absent due to illness.

Supervisor Buckley called the meeting to order and opened the floor for public comment. No one from the public spoke.

• Engineers-Mr. Dimmick reported that the mainline for WD#4 has been completed as have all but two laterals. The contractor intends to request an extension of the contract to delay restoration until weather conditions are more condusive. As part of the project, Cole Road will be overlayed from the bus garage to the intersection with NYS Route 26 to correct pavement cuts made during district construction. The Board discussed the advisability of meeting with school district personnel to discuss the affect of the new school construction in regards to the drainage of the Sayre-Cole Road intersection.
• Councilmen-Mr. Stewart reported that more mowing needs to be done at the WD#2 wells to improve access and appearance.
• Highway Superintendent-Mr. Martin requested spending authorization to purchase new hydraulic hoses for the Gradall and a wheel assembly for the mower. The Board authorized the purchases by consensus. Mr. Martin reported that he has received a purchase offer for the 1972 cab. Motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Watkins to authorize the Highway Superintendent to sell the cab for $450. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.
• Assessors-Mr. White and Mr. Phelps reported that no legal challenges to the 2001 final roll have been filed.
• Town Attorney-Mr. Farley presented completed the order, for the extension of Water District #2, for signature.
• Zoning Officer-Report read and accepted. Mr. Phelps updated the Board on the status of the RACOG planning study.
• Transfer Site-Mr. Phelps requested authorization to purchase a magnet for site maintenance. Motion by Mr. Buzzell, seconded by Mr. Stewart to authorize the purchase of a large magnet. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Supervisor Buckley to approve the minutes for July 2, 2001 as presented. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Buzzell, seconded by Mr. Watkins to pay the following bills as presented:

Motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Buzzell to approve the Supervisor's report as presented. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Buzzell, seconded by Mr. Stewart to authorize the Supervisor to submit an application for sewer district funding through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund(CWSRF). Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Buzzell to accept the Sewer District #1 project as completed and recommend Final Payment. Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion carried.

The Board reviewed correspondence.

Motion by Mr. Watkins, seconded by Mr. Stewart to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:30PM.
