NYS ROUTE 3 CORRIDOR SEWER/DEVELOPMENT
The NYS Route Corridor Sewer/Development Board is a collaborative effort
on the part of the Towns of Champion, LeRay, Pamelia, and Rutland and the
Village of Black River to construct sewer infrastructure along an eight (8)
mile stretch of the Black River. The communities banded together through an
inter-municipal agreement to build $26 million worth of collection lines to
eliminate the last remaining untreated community waste streams from the Black
River. As construction of the system continues, the Board has broadened its
scope to include the development of a sustainable growth plan to maximize
the potential economic impact of the infrastructure.
